Linda Louisell has taught elementary general music for the Mt. Pleasant Public Schools since 1979. She holds Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Arts degrees from Central Michigan University. In 2005 she was named the Michigan Music Educators Association’s Music Educator of the year. She enjoys playing clarinet, steel drum, and handbells. Her family, (husband, two sons and daughter-in-law) comprise a Bluegrass band, giving her the opportunity to also play bass guitar, hammered dulcimer, autoharp and acoustic guitar, as well as sing. She also spends time with photography, gadgets and most importantly, her granddaughters.
Thursday's performance was outstanding! Way to go students! Friday (today) we'll do it once more. I'm really looking forward to seeing it again! VIP events start at 2:00.
